Crew chat and Direct Messages
Crew chat is the team-wide channel. Direct Messages (marked with a lock) are private conversations between the people in them.
Which one to use

Team → Crew chat: rooms for the whole crew, such as daily updates or a job site.

Team → Direct Messages: one-to-one or small-group conversations.
- 3
Techs see both in the Staff app under Chat and Messages.
Tips
- Keep customer card numbers and passwords out of chat.
- Use the job's notes, not chat, for anything the next tech needs to know.
