Nexus approvals and autonomy levels

Choose how much Nexus may do on its own: Off, Suggest, Assist, or Auto. Risky actions always need your approval.

Overview

Every Nexus tool has a risk level: read, reversible write, customer message, financial, destructive, or security. The higher the risk, the more confirmation it needs.

Autonomy levels

  1. 1

Off: Nexus does not run tools.

  2. 2

Suggest: Nexus tells you what it would do. You do it yourself.

  3. 3

Assist: Nexus prepares the action and shows an approval card. It runs after you approve.

  4. 4

Auto: low-risk actions that are marked safe run without a card. Messages to customers, money, and anything destructive still ask.

Approval cards

  1. 1

A card shows what Nexus wants to do, why, its risk, and whether it costs credits.

  2. 2

Approve or cancel. Cards expire if nobody answers, so stale actions never run later.

  3. 3

Every tool call is checked against the user's role and written to the audit log.
